Veritext Supports Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Fund
Florham Park, NJ – November 30, 2012 — Veritext, the national leader in deposition and litigation support solutions, announced that it had donated $20,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. The donation was made on behalf of Veritext employees across the US, who raised over $10,000, which the company matched for a total of $20,610.“As a New Jersey-based firm with major facilities in New York, Long Island and Philadelphia, our company operations and employees were significantly impacted by Hurricane Sandy,” said Bob Cullen, CEO, Veritext. “We decided that it was important to help out our local communities and to assist the American Red Cross in helping the people who were most affected and who will need support for the foreseeable future.”
The American Red Cross is the leading charitable organization in providing on-the-ground disaster relief. Nearly 9,000 Red Cross workers have been deployed from all 50 states to operations from North Carolina to Rhode Island, with the majority still in Greater New York and throughout New Jersey. The Red Cross has provided shelter for more than 1,900 people since the storm, has served more than 6 million meals and snacks, and distributed more than 2 million relief items such as clean-up kits and hygiene kits.
