Veritext Presents Court Reporting Student Scholarship at Del Mar College in Texas
This August, Veritext was pleased to present a court reporting student scholarship to Melissa Conner, a student at Del Mar College, on August 19, 2019. Renee Martinez, Director of Operations for Veritext – Texas was on hand to honor Melissa with the “2019 Veritext Annual Student Scholarship.”
Veritext scholarships are available to new and returning students; both to those seeking to learn stenography theory and to those who are advanceing through training programs, working on speed and accuracy in order to achieve completion. This is the first Veritext scholarship awarded to a Del Mar College court reporting student.
In addition to the new partnership with Del Mar College, Veritext partners with local reporting schools throughout the country to support their court reporting programs. So far this year, Veritext has awarded scholarships in Minnesota and Canada.

The Veritext court reporting student scholarship program is part of the Veritext Cares initiative, which supports the reporting community through activities such as scholarships, Project Steno and A to Z programs, and supporting national and local industry organizations, among other efforts.
