SANDY’S CARE STORY
My daughter is a high school teacher in a district that many families cannot afford computers for distance learning while sheltered in place. The district doesn’t have enough computers to go around to all those in need.
So I dug through my closet and found four mini computers I had used for attorneys to view my realtime (before the iPad apps were available), and someone in my community volunteered to load ChromeBook on them. They are now in the hands of four high school kids. Additionally, I had five older laptop computers I had used in my work, and two of them were updated to Windows 10 and are now in the hands of a local elementary middle school.
I have to say that I feel very fulfilled that the teachers and students are so appreciative. It was a simple act for me to provide the computers. So happy that I touched someone and schools during this distance learning environment. I hope this inspires others who may have extra computers around to help kids with distance learning.
