Paradigm, A Veritext Company, presents scholarship to court reporting students

Jan Ballman, FAPR, RPR, CMRS, and Principal with Paradigm, A Veritext Company, was honored to present two $1,000 scholarships to students in the Judicial Reporting/Broadcast Captioning program at Anoka Technical College in Minnesota this May.  Recipients of the 11th annual Paradigm/Veritext Student Scholarship were court reporting students Emily Deutsch and Crystal Johnson.

Each year, high-speed students are invited to apply for the scholarship through an essay detailing their career goals, financial needs and more.  Applications are then reviewed by a committee consisting of a combination of Anoka Tech Foundation staff and Judicial Reporting faculty, who select students who have graduation in sight and have demonstrated grit, perseverance, positivity and academic excellence.

Congratulations again to the 2021 Annual Paradigm/Veritext Student Scholarship winners, Emily Deutsch and Crystal Johnson.

“I have wonderful mentors who encourage me regularly to keep up the mental fight” said Emily Deutsch. “I would not be where I am today without their constant support and encouragement.”

Crystal also expressed her gratitude, “Scholarships like these help students more than you could ever know! Thank you so much for your generosity!”

Congratulations to student Emily Deutsch!

Congratulations to student Crystal Johnson!
