Veritext Cares is excited to spotlight those who are making a difference during the COVID-19 pandemic by giving back. Each one is using their unique skills and talents to support their communities and the world at large. We are so grateful to work with you.

In early March 2020, Veritext raised $12,760 to be donated to Ministry of Caring in Wilmington, Delaware. This was the fifth year that Veritext participated in raising funds for MOC. Little did any of us know how important that money would be to these unfortunate people because of the exacerbation of their already dire circumstances which was caused by the pandemic.
Emmanuel Dining Room, which is one of the kitchens that serves the less fortunate in Delaware, ordinarily serves between 100-188 breakfasts each day. Due to the quarantine, we currently are serving those people by them coming to the door and get prepackaged breakfasts that have been cooked and put together by our usual volunteers. Of course, not every volunteer can come because of their own personal circumstances. We have been told that many of our usual recipients have tested positive for COVID-19 and have been moved to places to be quarantined.
In these very sad times, we must count our blessings. On Wednesdays, we serve homemade oatmeal, donuts, juice, milk and coffee. On behalf of the approximately 6,380 people served, I say thank you to Veritext.
