- Contact a court reporting school or program to see if they need mentors
- Contact your local association to connect you with new reporters
- Share our “Advice for Students” page, which is FULL of pieces of wisdom from the VPAC and experienced stenos throughout North America

- Project Steno needs volunteers!
  Volunteering with Project Steno has never been easier. Now you can be part of a successful program AND earn professional development credits, while you’re at it!

VOLUNTEER WITH THE NCRA
- Teach an “A to Z™” course
  NCRA “A to Z™” program leaders work with small groups of participants as they learn how to write the alphabet and numbers in steno. This program does not follow any particular theory. Participants use loaner steno machines during sessions and outside practice. Leaders will receive training materials to use during the program.

VERITEXT SUPPORTS PROECT STENO

Did you know that volunteering with Project Steno has never been easier? Now you can be part of a successful program AND earn professional development credits, while you’re at it! If you’re interested, Project Steno needs volunteer instructors for Basic Training (a six-week intro-to-steno program). Just meet one day or evening per week for two hours and they’ll handle all of the admin tasks so you can focus on teaching.

Did you know that Veritext hosts a court reporter training program? If you know someone who might be interested in a career as a court reporter, let them know about the Veritext-hosted court reporter training program offered through the Maryland Community College! Students can take Theory I & II and Speed Development remotely –from anywhere– via Zoom.
