Veritext Employees Donate $35,000 for Texas Children’s Hospital
Each year, in conjunction with our annual sales meeting, Veritext partners with a local charity to provide our employees a volunteer or philanthropy opportunity.
Our 2019 meeting was held in Houston, Texas, where we launched a campaign to raise money for the Texas Children’s Hospital. The goal was to raise enough money to provide “Warmies” – lavender-scented teddy bears that can be heated to provide extra comfort – for every bed at the hospital.
Veritext employees responded to the initiative with enormous enthusiasm and generosity, far exceeding our original goal. In total, Veritext delivered a donation to the Texas Children’s Hospital of $35,000.
Charitable endeavors from prior annual meetings include providing meals to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, California; making stuffed bears for patients at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida; and a Build-a-Bike volunteer activity in Las Vegas, Nevada, providing bicycles for children in need.
This year’s philanthropy exceeded all past expectations. To say we are proud of our employees for their incredible kindness and generosity would be an understatement. We are grateful to work among colleagues with such compassion and willingness to share with families in need!
